Juan Gabriel, Mexican Music Superstar, Dies At 66

Mexico is weeping for Juan Gabriel. The superstar singer-songwriter, known for his ballads of love and sadness, died Sunday at his home in Santa Monica, California at the age of 66.

Univision reported his death was due to a heart attack. Gabriel’s prowess spanned four decades with countless hits in Mexico. He earned six Grammy nominations and sold more than 100 million albums according to the Latin Recording Academy.
